“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered; it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 This was the very quote that came to mind when I read the story about Gwyn and Brian. Brian was in a horrible accident and right after it happened he proposed to Gwyn again. Ten years to the day they traveled from San Diego to British Columbia, Canada to exchange their vows under the same large beautiful tree at the drop dead gorgeous Sooke Harbour House. Ebony and all the staff at Sooke Harbour House took care of every detail and did such a  spectacular job recreating the moment all over again. One of the four people present was one of my very favorite people, photographer Kim Kalyn who said, “this was one of the most emotional ceremonies I have ever witnessed. I was so moved by their love. I am about to get all touchy feely on you here … but honestly the love and energy between these two soul mates is palpable. I was honoured to be one of the four people in attendance at such an inspiring ceremony. I loved that it was unconventional in the fact that there were many kisses, embraces and laughter throughout.” So for all of you getting ready to walk down the aisle for the first time look at all that you have to look forward to.
