Destination Wedding Linda & Daniel Cape Cod

I know it’s Monday morning, but let this Cape Cod destination wedding help you get your day started. Linda and Daniel vacation often in the Cape. They are from Montreal Canada where the majority of their guests came from. They held their reception at a private home in Provincetown. This destination wedding is full of wonderful do-it-yourself details and a simplicity that is just striking.

Linda and Daniel started out the day together by having a first look right outside the private residence. There was the threat of rain but at the last minute it cleared and the ceremony was able to take place outside. The first really cool detail from this destination wedding is that Linda and Daniel constructed the chuppah for the ceremony themselves! with bamboo and a draped cloth. They were married by Luc one of Daniel’s best friends.

They went to get a few more pictures together after the ceremony at Race Point Beach where Daniel had proposed and than the rain began just on time for everyone to head in to the private residence for the reception. Guests were treated to a wonderful New England style dinner with lobster and bibs.

So now the wonderful details. Linda’s beautiful dress is from Aidan Mattox and her gorgeous yellow shoes are from Stuart Weitzman.  I absolutely adore the reception setup, especially the bud vases and yellow flowers. The flowers and boutonnieres were actually all done by Linda and came from Whole Foods. The floral arrangements are very simple but make quite a statement.

Linda also did all the invitations by using a typewriter to type up the invites and she carved out her own rose shaped stamp. The rose was a repeating theme throughout the wedding. The type writer was also used as part of the guest book and guests were able to type up their wishes or advice as well as sign a matted frame. For the wedding favors guests received Chinese boxes filled with homemade cookies and the menu card.

Finally my two very favorite details the Mr and Mrs signs at the head of the table and the beautiful letter initials for the cake that were also made by Linda! She is very talented and I think she should consider opening an Etys shop:)

The biggest thank you of all to very talented  photographer Shang Chen of  Shang Chen photo.  I can’t thank you enough for sharing so many of the wonderful details.
